For the 2022-2023 season, our teams will consist of players from  Waubonsie Valley High School and Metea Valley High School. We refer to our club as the “Warriors Hockey Club” although we will continue to do business as the Waubonsie Valley Hockey Club.

 

The Warriors Hockey Club is dedicated to providing a quality program for the development of high school hockey athlete(s) at the best possible value.  We all know the benefits that this sport offers including the meaning of teamwork, life long friendships, exciting physical play, and quality time together.  We also recognize that it is an expensive sport that is not subsidized by the high schools.  We believe we are again positioned to deliver the best possible high school hockey experience for a reasonable price.  We are always open to suggestions for improvement and welcome your involvement in the club. 

 

 Our commitment as always is to provide a great hockey experience for our players.

 

Our Junior Varsity and Varsity teams play in the Illinois High School Hockey League West Division  - Formerly known as the Metro West,  “Illinois West” is the most competitive and well run of all high school hockey leagues in the State.  This league is 35+ years old and well-established and the Warriors Hockey Club is proud to be a member again this season.  

 

This year the Varsity and JV teams will play between 28-30 regular season league games, primarily scheduled on weekends. Several times during the year, they will play back to back games at All Seasons, which makes it a fun time for students to come out and support our teams. The league also holds an All-Star Games and Round Robin Playoffs within the Illinois High School Hockey League West Division.

 

This season each team will play a few exhibition games as well as play in 2-4 tournaments.  The result should be a 45-55 game season against better matched competition, with little or no additional fees.
